Hassan Abd. Muthalib is a self-taught artist, designer & filmmaker who has been involved in the film scene for 50 years. He directed the popular, animated Sang Kancil series & Silat Legenda, Malaysia’s first animated feature film. He is officially recognized as the Father of Malaysian Animation & as an Animation Pioneer by Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University. Hassin is a film historian & a film critic. His writings appear in many books & academic journals overseas. His book, Malaysian Cinema in a Bottle published in 2013, is a history & analysis of Malaysia cinema from the first film screening in 1897 right up to 2013. He conducts film & animation workshops in many countries on story development & visual storytelling & is also a jury member for numerous loacal & international film festivals. For his achievements, he was awarded an Honorary Masters in Creative Technology by UiTM where he was an Artist-in-Residence.
James Lee, an award winning independent filmmaker from Malaysia. He’s also one of the pioneers of indie digital video film-making. On top of directing he has DP, produced and acted in other independently produced films. His films has won awards in film festival in Bangkok, Hong Kong, Philippines and Singapore. In 2007 the 9th Deauville Asian Film Festival France had a special focus on the movies of James Lee as a talent to watch. This focus was to acknowledge Lee’s status as one of the pioneer digital filmmakers of the region. In 2014, the website won the DiGi WWWOW award for the content category. And was invited as a speaker in the TEDxKL 2015. In 2015 he won Director of the Year in the Singapore advertising award GONG for the branded short film “ Last Day of School ” which also picked up the Cannes Silver Lion Award in 2016.
Eden Wan, graduated from National Taiwan University of Arts. Director if recent "Best Story: Love In The Air" The film has been successfully screened in the cinemas nationwide in Malaysia. With the Short Film "A Day In the Library", he has won the grand prize and the best screenwriting award in Magic Bean film competition in 2015, and also won the Jasmin d'or award ar Festival de Grasse in France in 2016.
