EXCLUSIVE CORPORATE EYE HEALTH EVENT – TOP GLOVE

     It has always been MOG’s mission to Pioneer Exceptional Eye Care Services to our community. It is with great pleasure that we secured an opportunity to extend our care to our corporate partner, Top Glove on the 23rd of June 2022.

   We have always strongly believed that each person deserves to see the best of the world. Hence through our exclusive corporate event organised at Top Glove’s headquarter at Setia Alam, we have prepared a full day itinerary that covers all grounds of practical day-to-day eye care including Eye Health Assessment booths, Exclusive Eyewear Showcase, and an Eye Health Sharing Session supported by our partner, ESSILORLUXOTTICA intended to promote eye health awareness by helping consumers discover their best fit vision solution and educate them on eye care tips catered to the current corporate lifestyle.

Eye Health Assessment

   Regardless of age and job nature, it is still advisable to have your eyes checked out yearly for preventive measures. Eye Health Assessment is not only crucial to detect potential vision problems such as glaucoma, cataract, diabetic retinopathy and reduced vision capabilities from myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness) and astigmatism, it is also essential to reveal other health symptoms such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular diseases which is more prevalent in this modern age. In fact, many vision problems are preventable or at least treatable if discovered early. 

   Out of 120 participants whom gotten their eye health reassessed by our professional optometrist, we noticed a prevalent amount of them that have not changed their glasses in years or are still wearing glasses with an outdated prescription. We were also able to identify several patients with dry eye symptoms due to overwhelming visual demand facing digital devices for prolonged hours and also some patients with potential risk of diabetic retinopathy. Overall, we are honoured to be an eye care solution provider to each of the participants’ vision needs by helping them identify their best fit solution in terms of products and day-to-day eye care tips to maintain their eye health.

Exclusive Eyewear Showcase

   Apart from that, we also held an Exclusive Eyewear Showcase for Top Glove’s staffs as part of the perks of being our corporate member to enjoy a special range of eyewear products with an exclusive offer. This showcase is also open to the tenants of Top Glove Tower at a special discounted rate. A range of renowned brands were highlighted during this showcase including the likes of Giorgio Armani, Bvlgari, Prada, Burberry, Oakley, Ray Ban, Michael Kors, Emporio Armani, Coach and Armani Exchange.

Eye Health Sharing Session by ESSILORLUXOTTICA

   Another main highlight of this corporate event was the Eye Health Sharing Session by none other than ESSILORLUXOTTICA’s key representative, Mr.Eugene Tan which garnered close to 600 participants (online + offline). The sharing session focused on the basics of Eye Health and the common vision problems such as Myopia, Hyperopia, Astigmatism, Presbyopia and the current prevalent eye concerns of digital eye strain/computer vision syndrome (CVS). Eugene also highlighted the importance of primary eye care through which professional optometrists will be able to help identify your vision needs and match it with the right treatment and/or products as well as discover possible risks of eye diseases that can be prevented or given early treatment to minimise risk of vision loss. Simple introduction to the latest treatment lens technology that befits the current eye care and vision needs of office and factory workers was also shared. The session wrapped up with a fruitful Q&A, a physical contest that tested the durability of ESSILOR’s Airwear lenses as well as quizzes and lucky draw session for both physical and virtual participants.
