Contact Lens

Daily disposable contact lenses are one-time usage lenses that are removed and thrown at the end of each day, and a fresh pair of lenses is needed the next morning.

Before you consider the pros and cons of daily disposable lenses, keep in mind that “daily wear” and “daily disposable” are different. A daily wear lens must be removed before sleeping because it’s not approved by authorities for overnight wear. Such a lens might be replaced daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly, depending upon the brand. In short, a wearing schedule and a replacement schedule are two different things.

In the world of contact lenses, “disposable” doesn’t always mean single-use. Daily contact lenses that are thrown out every two weeks are also called disposable. “Daily disposable” is the specific term for lenses that are removed and discarded daily.
