Glaucoma Screening Assessment

Glaucoma is a group of eye conditions that damage the optic nerve, the health of which is vital for good vision. This damage is often caused by an abnormally high pressure in your eye.

Age-Related Macular
Degeneration Assessment

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a common condition that affects the middle part of vision. It usually first affects people in their 50s and 60s. It does not cause total blindness, but it can make everyday activities like reading and recognising faces difficult.

Cataract Screening Assessment

A cataract is a clouding of the normally clear lens of the eye. For people who have cataracts, seeing through cloudy lenses is a bit like looking through a frosty or fogged-up window, moking it more difficult to read, drive a car (especially at night) or even seeing facial expressions when interacting with people.

Dry Eye Assessment

Dry eye disease is a common condition that occurs when your tears aren't able to provide adequate lubrication for your eyes. If you have dry eyes, your eyes may sting or burn. You may experience dry eyes in certain situations, such as on an airplane, in an air-conditioned room, while riding a bike or after looking at a computer screen for prolonged hours.

Diabetic Retinopathy Assessment

Our optometrist would use retina camera to identify damage caused to the blood vessels of the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye (retina). At first, diabetic retinopathy might cause no symptoms or only mild vision problems. But it can lead to blindness.

Myopia Management for Children

Myopia control or myopia management is a tailored children’s eye care program dedicated to slowing down children’s myopia progression. Myopia in children may also be called being short-sighted or near-sighted.

Contact Lens Fitting

Whether you are wearing contact lens for the first time or a long-term wearer, contact lens is still considered a medical device and it’s best to take advice from the professionals. Get the right contacts with the right advice from our optometrist in 1-to-1 personalized consultation now!

Corneal Mapping

Corneal mapping involves a special photography technique that maps the surface of the clear, front window of the cornea. With a topography scan, our optometrist can find distortions in the curvature of the cornea, which is normally smooth. This is useful to detect corneal injury, to monitor growth, to diagnose astigmatism & early keratoconus.

Eye Pressure Test

An eye pressure test is an important part of the eye assessment. When your eye pressure is higher than normal, you may be at risk for glaucoma. High eye pressure can damage the delicate nerve fibres in the back of your eye and might results in blindness. Using a tonometer, we can find out whether you have any early symptoms.

3. Precise Vision Correction

After a professional eye health check, our optometrist would proceed to precise vision test to identify your best-fit visual correction prescription.

This would start off with checking your current spectacles prescription with a lensmeter, followed by getting objective eye power with autorefractor, to assessing subjective refraction with a digital phoropter, and lastly to examine eye muscle health, the prevalence of squainting or tired eyes through cover test or phoria test. Beyond these are some specially tailored tests as per required correction.

Children Visual Assessment

Young children are constantly learning new skills that will prepare them for when they learn to read and write. Visual skills, such as, visual perceptual skills, eye-hand coordination, fine motor skills, etc are also important for learning and academic success. If you notice that your child is showing any signs of developmental delay or difficulty in learning, this is a red alert for immediate visual assessment from our professional optometrist.

Essential Colour Assessment

Colour blindness is the decreased ability to see colour or differences in colour. It can impair even simple day-to-day tasks such as selecting ripe fruit, choosing clothing, and reading traffic lights. Colour blindness may make some educational activities more difficult. However, problems are generally minor, and most colour-blind adapts with time. People with total colour blindness (achromatopsia) may also be uncomfortable in bright environments and have decreased visual acuity.

3D Vision Assessment

People with 3D blindness have difficulties with judging distances or depth. 3D blindness (also stereo blindness) is the inability to see in 3D or stereo vision, resulting in an inability to perceive stereoscopic depth by combining and comparing images from the two eyes.

Many people think they don’t need eye exams because they have “good vision”, but good vision doesn’t necessarily mean you have perfect eye health. Although you don’t have any symptoms or vision problems, we highly suggest that you get eye exams based on your age. Many eye diseases may not have any warning signs until they are in their later stages, discovering an eye condition in its early stages makes it easier to treat and gives you a better chance of remedying the issue.
